So I took care of all the details that are usually painted grey... and as we might already know, there are usually lots of those 😁 Rubber wheels, periscopes, headlights, machine guns, metal tools, even tow cables. Tow cables can be either painted in the same color as the tank or more usually in a natural metal color. Most of the time they have some sort of lubricated core to prevent corrosion, but I gave them the same metal look like I normally do with all metal components. An earth colored wash should give them a natural worn appearance.
Today I'll take care of the rest - tarps, sandbag, and the searchlight on the turret. I'm keeping that for the end because I wanna try painting it so it'll look like a clear part 😁 If I fail, I'll just paint it dark grey as a tinted light. And of course I'll add some silver base color on the sprocket wheel and some faint chips on the weld beads. Then it'll be FINALLY ready for the final weathering effects!
