Ready for weathering
Added 2020-07-27 09:44:09 +0000 UTCAlright friends, I got it all ready. Repainted the fire extinguishers into a dark vivid green color, also repainted the 2 flimsy cans and applied the markings. Your advice to make a sand colored strip on the right side was spot on, I think it looks very interesting! Finally a sealed everything with 2 layers of VMS satin varnish and that makes it ready for some washes, maybe a few oil paints here and there, and chipping.
But first I have to make a video out of this 😊

2020-07-28 23:14:10 +0000 UTCYeah, might be interesting to try mixing distressing with post shading. Although distressed models have a lot of visual texture and detail, they look "flat". Post shading makes them not only more 3-D, but also weathered

2020-07-28 17:19:14 +0000 UTCThis is the 'shiniest' I think I've seen one of your models at this stage. You can literally see it looking around nervously, hoping it's avoided the washing machine! It is a really interesting contrast with how 'distressed' paint looks at this stage. I'm looking forward to the chipping on this one!
