Finally!

Things worked out perfectly today! The Tamiya jerry can set arrived just in time.

I also printed some stuff, and modelled some stuff - 30. cal ammo cans and some generic wooden boxes. The 30. cal ammo boxes didn't print very well, so I kept them kinda out of sight.

Tarps are made out of paper, with the aid of VMS paper shaper. That thing is like a magic potion, it softens the paper so it can be folded in any way without creating any sharp "breaks". It also acts as glue. I also gave them a light brushed-on coat of VMS structural resin to make the texture smoother. Now they're kinda glossy, but the effect can be seen on the last photo with a test piece sprayed with primer.

Everything was tied down with thin straps made once again from Tamiya tape. I used two Sherman photos as inspiration for the stowage, I just hope it'll look good once it's painted. This is definitely a first for me 😁

Anyway, now I can put the video together. Because I couldn't work on the Sherman yesterday (because no stowage) I made the cast steel video. So we'll be back to our regular schedule after this one is finished 😊

Finally! Finally! Finally! Finally! Finally!

Nope my friend, definitely not worth the money 😶

Night Shift

Oh, that sucks, as I was considering getting one. Rather disappointing to hear this, as it is quite an expensive modeling tool. 😕

Surgical forceps in this case :) It has numerous small teeth which act like a guide for the wire, and each "step" is just a little bit wider so I can always find the perfect width. I also have the grab handle bending tool from RP Toolz but it's one of the most useless things I ever bought. The difference between each "step" is so big I was never able to make a usable grab handle with it.

Just curious, what do you use to make grab handles?
