In a way I prefer celebrities because it's easier to understand. For games or anime for examples, I don't know them all, and sometimes it represents absolutely nothing for me. Ok it can be the case for not so famous celebrities maybe. I think there should be a balance to do both a little. And of course for movies characters, it could be great to see a cocky Ripley assfucking an alien (or reverse) !

I think the occasional celeb likeness isn't bad, but you seem to do your best work when you're not trying to blend in an actual person's face. It often feels a bit artificial, if you're not careful.

Hm, yeah I think I prefer the approach of drawing game/comic book characters. Let's you do away with having to match likeness. I've liked the pieces you've done before like the Olsen twins from way back. But I think the overall quality of your art reaches better highs when you're free and not worrying about achieving a certain look. That being said, I've always wanted to see how you might take on some Asian celebrities, notably K-pop singers.
