And you know, I’m not going to publicly say anything… but my patrons get that extra glimpse inside!
Last night Oisin O’Maille released a video reacting to my last Sunday one. I wasn’t going to watch it honestly. But after receiving dozens of messages from big Oisin fans kinda being quite rude to me, I thought “what does this guy say in the video?! How is it getting THIS reaction?!”
I just thought it was strange! So…. I STILL HAVENT WATCHED IT’ 😂🙈 I think it would make me just really upset. Especially from the messages I’m getting from his people. 😞
I’m going to be distancing myself from this whole thing. I really have zero interest in getting into an internet fight 😂 ….. OVER SECONDARY MARKET PRICES! Haha. I just… don’t! Haha. I made that video to hopefully put some balance into the watch world, because the ONLY videos at the time were ones saying “BUY THE DIP!” THATS all that existed online at the time that I could find haha. And well, with macroeconomics taken into account - that was the last thing I was doing! 😂🤷🏻♀️ so I thought I’d provide some balance into the world!
I really have zero interest getting into a fight about the economy with a musician/ex technology flipper… 😜 it sounds like a joke doesn’t it: so a vicar and an ex musician walk into a bar and start talking about the economy. 😜
As I’ve said countless times to oisin. This is really silly and I refuse to get into a public fight about sometjing so silly!
I’ve been thinking about it over and over and over again… “who would be scared of my last Sunday video?!”
Who would find this video scary?!?!
And all I can think of is: 1. Grey market dealers (particularly small time ones who can’t hold until the recession recovers), 2. Flippers (people who are worried they won’t get this watch for as much anymore. Or maybe bought high hoping it’d go up but it hasn’t). And 3. People who have invested their entire savings into watches and they are feeling scared looking at that asset go down. (Which is why I always say, don’t view these as assets! Collect what you LOVE!)
Those are the only people I can think of who would find my video scary?! 🤷🏻♀️😂 so I’m very confused on why Oisin is so spooked. Idk. It’s all weird to me, guys. 😂🤷🏻♀️ I really thought it would be awesome news that I hope secondary goes down further. 😜 I want that APRO below retail! 😜💕
But this is neither here nor there! I just wanted to say, I’m staying away from all this stuff! It just seems soooo silly to me. 😂🤷🏻♀️

Idk. I guess I feel a bit misunderstood?! And like I have to justify myself. Like I have people saying “YOU ONLY GET WATCHES BECAUSE OF YOUR HUSBAND!” And I’m thinking “…. We moved to Bristol at the same time…? 😂🤷🏻♀️ we started at a new AD whilst being married”. James hasn’t lived in Bristol his whole life! Haha. We moved here together when we got married. Or “You clearly don’t know what it’s like being laughed out of the ad!” We DO’ 😂 we’ve just been so lucky to find an amazing AD now. But we’ve been laughed out of plenty! I hope I emphasised enough that we are really lucky to have the AD links we do. But still I just would never recommend people to spend over retail. My friends have asked me MANY OF TIMES! And I’ve said “look. Come to the AD with me, I’ll introduce you!” IDK! I feel maybe I’ve said something in a way that came out wrong….? Idk!
Gah!! I’m rambling. I’m just a bit upset about how this whole thing has played out. I still have no idea what he says in that video. And I don’t want to know! I’m just going to keep on my THANG! I’m gonna keep making videos that are right for me and my channel and I really hope my wonderful subscribers enjoy it!!! 💕💕💕💕💕

I have been watching Oisin for a few years and I actually came to follow Watch Gringa from his initial mention of you awhile ago. That being said, I felt that his video was particularly harsh, especially considering he was the one to promote you in the first place. I watched the video a couple of times because I genuinely wanted to understand where he was coming from. And I have a theory... Oisin is a collector but he's also got a lot of his wealth tied up in his watches. For him, they are assets in the purest sense and he is, at least partially relying on them to become liquid at some point. That's part of why he really pushes his Rolex content while occasionally highlighting other brands like Omega and Seiko. I also think that his denialism is partly because he lives in a country whose economy is structurally severed from it's monetary policy due to its position in the EU. I think Oisin is in for a big shock this winter when heating prices explode and costs for basic staples like bread and pasta go through the roof. Purchasing power in Italy is shrinking after a few years of actually strong growth. In the end, I believe he wasn't heating what you were saying and put his own spin on it. I also noticed he deleted the video from his channel. I get the feeling that Oisin has some issues with women in general and you were an easy target. I suspect that, as in the past, he is now regretting his behaviour and how it was taken by his more incel fanboys.

2022-10-17 04:07:50 +0000 UTCI've seen it and thought it was aggressive (and passive aggressive when it wasn't being aggressive). My conclusion is that he has invested far too much in watches and is petrified they will go down in price. We have your back Britt!
