I have a lot of thoughts about TAG. Before I was "into" watches, one of the 3 watch brand names I knew included Tag. I kinda think TAG Heuer has a massive opportunity to be second only to Rolex in terms of revenue if they play their cards right. The have such a winning hand! They have all the golden ingredients: a storied heritage, amazing back catalogue, unique designs, and of course, they are a household name! They have the winning ingredients, it just feels like they aren't following the recipe!
Here is everything I know about TAG, and what I wish they would be.
I do this from a place of weirdly loving TAG so much and just wanting to see them THRIVE!!!

Gringa!! Great video to "watch" with my morning coffee. I am one of those who, while growing up in 80's, knew nothing of "TAG"s, saw them as equals to Rolex, and a luxury watch brand, In my teenage years, my then and still now best friend, was the typical spoiled rich kid you see now on social media. He got a TAG for his 16th and did nothing but flash and flex it for months. So to me it was one of those dream watches. But later seeing that the flash of TAG has lost so much of the shine compared to the classic models. For some time I have wanted a classic pre TAG Heuer in my collection, and maybe I will find the one that talks to me. This is one those brands I think has to completely crash to be reborn. The current limping along and be profitable, sadly to say they will not change nor improve. Long Live the Cult!!

I owned a carrera chrono quite a while back and it was super pretty , but I sold it sadly as it had a Pearl dial and I couldnβt read the time at night under bar lights when I was rather drunk ! π΅βπ«π
