Behind the Scenes: 2024 Wrap-Up

Happy New Year's Eve!

2024 has been an absolutely incredible year, and it's all thanks to you.

The Events

This was the first year that we hit conventions and signing events hard. We've both agreed that these were our favorite parts of the year. Having giant groups of catgirl cosplayers and readers herding over new people, carrying signs, and carting fellow cosplayers away from the beer stand to listen to Matt's tale. Dinners afterward and walking around downtown Phoenix in giant groups.

We made so many precious memories this year, and we can't thank you enough.

The Books

All of you helped Volume 4 come to life and then supported us as we waged war on Amazon to get it published.

That triggered our move from Kindle Unlimited to publishing wide. It was a step we were terrified to take, but it turned out to be for the positive. Having the book available in more places is extremely helpful, and it prompted me to do the reformatting for the ebooks, which looks worlds cleaner.

AND THEN you helped us sail through another successful Kickstarter for Volume 5!

We have new pins coming, new prints, new bookmarks, and, of course, our favorite volume in the series yet! We can't wait to bring it out to you in the next couple of months. If you missed out, preorders are available through the Merchants of Nyarlea until January 10th!

The Streams

Late this year, we started a writing stream for Ry and I to write Catgirls chapters, commissions, and do editing live on Twitch. Moccinchilla did my gorgeous pngtuber and is currently working on Ry's!

You guys helped us hit Affiliate in under two months! We have new emojis and even more in the works.

And thanks to the writing stream, we've been able to bring the panels we did at conventions online! This month, we decided that we'll be doing a "Writer's Workshop" stream once a month from here on out with themes suggested by the community.

 So far, we've done Building a LitRPG World, Publishing a Web Serial, and World Building 101. I've uploaded all of the VODs on YouTube if you didn't get a chance to check them out yet!

Coming soon is a major upgrade to Ravyn's stream. We've renamed the channel "RavynVT" to make it easier to find (we found that it was really tough to spell at conventions), and we've nearly finished off a GoFundMe for a brand new VTuber Model and Rigging by VTanjo. You may have seen VTanjo's art on Ellie Minibot's gorgeous model:

I'm working with other artists to bring new emotes, a new overlay, new chatbox, and a logo to the stream as well. Only the best for my Baka Brigade!

The Art

It's hard to pick where to start on this one. This year, we've had over a dozen pieces of NSFW and SFW done by AridanBlack, new art by ShiraValkyrie, and more pieces than we can count thanks to our incredible fanbase finding and commissioning artists of their favorite girls (AND MEN).

Plus, the Major Arcana for our Tarot Deck is almost done!!

Maon has done 13 acrylic pins for the Saphira Tier and above now! They all look so great together.

 The newest pins will go out this week after New Year's. Keep an eye on your mailbox!
