Patreon Pledges

Hey all,

For those that had pledges that went through, you can completely ignore this message. It's similar to what you've heard the past 2 months already. It's just not as bad this time. For the newer folks:

For those with declined Patreon pledges, this may be due to Patreon's bank triggering a fraud detection. This was massive about 2 months ago and it triggered over half of the supporters. It seems once you contact your bank and tell them to relax, it's ok for the subsequent months. Each month, I've had less problems with hit. When the payments hit, there's all kinds of reasons that Patreon will decline the payment but the fraud detection is the most popular recently. I've also heard from one source awhile back that Patreon will not overdraft an account either. So if you have overdraft protection for your account, the Patreon charge will not trigger if it will take you into the negative. It just declines it.

One other concern noted a few months ago: Patreon was accidentally charging some supporters double a few months ago. I didn't have anyone here that got charged, but it's something I like to point out and draw your attention to. If you got unfairly charged, don't hesitate to contact me. I should be able to refund you.

A few people have contacted me about their payments and hopefully this will answer most of your questions.

Thanks for the luv, all. Y'all are insanely motivating to work with. Hit me up if you have questions. If you have specific questions about your billing, send a private message. I don't want to discuss individual billing in public chat.

Damn Rey, Gonna make me blush... Thank you. Seriously. The the time you took to write on your reactions. I always love feedback and when the game touches someone the way you describe, you're really hitting at the heart of my purpose and intent for writing it. While it's only a hobby, it's something I'm enjoying and its cathartic as hell. I love that you want to support but take care of you first, theres a reason I make the game for free. If you get spare cash and want to donate, that's fine. Know that I'll appreciate whatever you offer. Just dont feel obligated. The feedback you left was priceless man. Thank you.

My goodness! I really had to create a patreon just to comment on how this game touched me. Just finished it and I must say I was so emotional when
Zack confessed and had his feelings finally reciprocated by Braden
I twas a long journey for sure and I'm glad I embarked on it. It was a roller coaster of emotions and Braden was a very likeable character who keeps you guessing. They said falling in love with a straight guy is a tragedy and I'm happy this is not the direction of this story. The game was so well written that I can actually imagine myself being Zack's shoes. I;m hungry for more and when I do get a bit of cash, I promise to subscribe just so I can have my fix of your updates. You're a talented writer that makes your reader feel and taste the scenarios, every word and every character. I hope to see you grow more and bigger not just as a writer but as a game creator. Congrats on a very succinct and memorable game. I have become an instant fan. :) EDIT: I know it's a lot of work on your part but maybe you can release a comics of this in the future that would be awesome. By nature of these games, I keep getting that anxiety where i might miss certain events. The comic series might relieve that but allowing me to experience the story as you intended, not just me mindlessly clicking. Or maybe if you grow big enough, you can release a companion visual or kinetic novel. Who knows? Your game may have replaced Coming out on top as my favorite game. There's something about your writing that enables us reader to taste the emotions, and actually feel the character's confusion. Had this been a VR I really felt like I couldn;t separate myself from Zack. XD At any rate, I do feel that there are times when their vocabulary don't fit their age group, but given my sapiosexual streak, I really don't mind. I'll gladly join your host of patrons sometime this month. I really don't know why. This is the first time that I feel so giddy, gripped and even tearful to the point of wanting to see this grow big enough. I want Braden and Zack to accompany me in my own journey. I hope you'll continue making and developing their stories. Kudos on a well written, realistic portrayal of teen romance and lgbt issues. So sorry for gushing. I may be able to provide a better constructive feedback in the second playthrough. Might do the pervy route to keep things from getting to o boring. :)

Ugh..that sucks. I have my own feelings about politics but we wont go there. That tends to divide people more than unify them so gonna side-step. I do plan on starting the next update. Honestly, I'm more ahead of where the website says currently but I dont really know how far I want to go with it so my percentage is a bit off. I'm also working on something else for this update that is slowing me down a bit but it's still part of the learning process. Things are still moving forward, they're just more part-time right now.

Actually, my bill grew up a little this month. Because, for now, I - like all my European fellows, I guess - will pay the "VAT" ("TVA" in French), a tax we already pay on almost everything we buy, obviously including our Patreon memberships. This upsets me, not because I neeeeeeeed that extra money, but because I'm fed up with the more-and-more-taxes jokes (not funny at all) my amazing country seems to like. I don't want to put pressure on you (really don't !) because I understand you need that break you took, but I hope it won't be too long...
