I had a blast getting a bit outside of my wheelhouse and listening to Soulbound. Brittney Slayes is phenomenal, her control is unreal. What are your thoughts on her singing, and this genre of metal in general?

I totally get that! They are definitely a hidden gem :) The real problem with music these days is that there are so many great artists out there that you are missing most of them just because you haven't found out about them yet X) So that's one less, I guess ;)

I totally agree with you :D Another thing: I've just started watching the video again... And tried to sing along a little bit... Did you say that the high note is a B6? Maybe I misheard... I'm not sure... But is it possible that that is actually more of a B5 perhaps? I'm just wondering because I could sing the note without a lot of effort. And under normal circumstances I can't sing a B6 that easily O.O So I was a little bit surprised that I could match it. Or maybe I'm just thinking I did ;) And I'm really sorry if I'm completely wrong on this X) I'm just curious about this ^^

Same here, power metal really isn't my thing generally, but this song had some great energy. And Brittney is unreal.

Usually I am not too much into power metal. "Soulbound" and some of their other work are pretty cool though! But whether I like the genre and certain songs or not, I totally admire her vocal skills :) And as always there's a lot to take away from the reaction video! Thanks ^^ And thanks to somnam for drawing our attention to "For Whom the Banshee Cries"! It's splendid :D
