That just blew my mind, it really seems like a foreshadowing, thanks for sharing that man!

2023-12-03 11:32:22 +0000 UTCNot sure if it's a foreshadowing but I would like to take you back to the airship during the Hunter exam arc when Netero wanted to play ball with Gon and Killua. He said during the game that he won't use his right hand or left leg, and he did his best to abide by those rules until Gon forced him to use his right hand. Now in this episode we saw both his left arm and right leg got severed by the King (the complete opposite). It's like Togashi wanted the King to make Netero use his right arm and left leg as reference to what Gon wanted to achieve back then.

2023-12-02 15:57:22 +0000 UTCSomething that's permanently overlooked I feel, are the questions Netero asks himself. When did I start allowing my opponents to initiate? When did I soften to the point of being gracious to the defeated? Asking himself these things as he's profoundly frustrated with the lack of an opponent who can defend his own attacks, as once he attacks it's inevitable victory. Asking himself these things as he's frustrated with his inability to be the aggressor, because there is no adversary his equal or worth his efforts. He's showing his true color in what drove him to pursue from his perspective, an ultimate power - what he was hunting for. These questions manifest from his frustration of being able to be naturally himself, a hunter - because for so long he has been without prey, or a challenger to fulfill him. Which is why he finds himself so excited to take this fight, as shown when he remarked to Colt he'd be a challenger for the first time in forever, and so grateful to Meruem for the opportunity to use everything he has.

2023-12-01 22:48:56 +0000 UTCOne of the best fights in anime. Art, animation, symbolism, battle IQ. Simply phenomenal. If someone told me that the best fight for him is this one, I would totally accept it

2023-12-01 21:28:35 +0000 UTCTo say i've been waiting for you watch this set of episodes is an understatement, the writing and buildup that goes into this fight is incredible and the fight itself is just insane, Togashi is truly the goat. By the way, that line from Netero can also be translated as "humanitys infinite potential for malice" Wish u a great rest of the weekend :)
