For example I also don´t think that Daphne created Great Rabbit out of altruistic reasons, but maybe out of necessity. If you don´t eat you die, if you are stuck in infinite loop you are basically dead. It can go hand in hand with jealousy and the ability "the love" she granted to Subaru that is meant for him only and not for anyone else.

It’s very reminiscent of an abusive relationship dynamic, which makes total sense given the sin she represents

Now you and I can talk in a leisure" So basically she used something to make him able to talk about his ability. Also this episode Echidna said interesting line "Her hope is that you will never be trapped in the dead end, that is a true death." And she also said that she thinks there is no limit to return by death. And getting stuck in infinite loop is a "true death" so you can relive the same loop infinitely but with no way of escaping it. Which is scary as hell and also dangerous. And because of how dangerous it is, it could be the reason why you can´t talk about the return by death ability. Just not to make someone take advantage of you.

So the line "if you wish to walk through hell (which Subaru is walking through) I will gladly accompany you" would fit, but it is just my assumption. But if you wonder why Roswaal let him self engulf in the shadow without trying to escape then you will eventually learn more about how Roswall thinks and other stuff as well.

To talk about return by death. Also: try not to make any mistakes next time, Subaru. Roswaal did in fact talk about Subaru, not about the witch.
