In 2018 I went to Japan because I participated in a student conference between my university and Osaka University. The theme of the conference was about disasters, so we visited an Earthquake Memorial centre which was about the 2011 Tohoku earthquake disaster in Japan where 20.000 people died, and we had to give presentations about it as well. One of the Japanese students showed the scene with Chopper getting the poison mushroom and Dr Hiluluk's death as part of his presentation. "People really die once they are forgotten" being the main message, and talking about how in some cases photo's of the victims of the earthquake have gone missing, and how important it is to remember your loved ones. That was the first scene of One Piece I ever saw and I'll always remember it.
