Whatever the case, she did a good job delivering, both with the lyrics and the video. I look forward to streaming and listening to the full album! :)

2024-04-24 22:05:51 +0000 UTCHere’s a little bit of an explanation into this song and album. The pill she takes is given to her by an orderly at an insane asylum. This song is basically how much damage can be done to a person in only a “fortnight” or as I’m sure you know, two week span. Some speculate it’s about her short reunion with Matty Healy from the 1975 after her and Joe broke up. I think it’s more creative outlet rather than a factual account of her life in many of the songs on the album. In essence, she’s saying she was an alcoholic after the two week intense love/toxic relationship. That’s IMHO about the song and album. Of course there are always real issues that happen in her life but, I think people take every single song as gospel truth.
