But other series are fine too, the HGW using characters from different series you were posting earlier this year looked like it could be fun. Regarding the lewd stuff, I think you should try making an image set with a story. It doesn't need to be anything complex just a few dialogue here and there to connect the different image batchs so that by the end of the year they can be read together as a small story. Not sure if I'm clear, but look at what Club3 do with their "bathroom" series if you want idea. Regarding the balance between lewd and not lewd, it seems right as is but I wouldn't be bothered if it shifted a bit one way or the other.
