To be an ace in WWI, a fighter pilot had to shoot down five or more enemy planes. Manfred von Richthofen, called the Red Baron because he painted his planes bright red, shot down eighty.
In 1881, in the town of Tombstone, Arizona, at the O.K. Coral, a shootout took place between Marshal Virgil Earp, his two brothers Morgan and Wyatt, and their associate, Doc Holliday. They fought against five outlaws, all of whom were either killed or fled for their lives.
What does either of these things have to do with pizza? Who knows? Kinda makes me hesitate to look up the names DeGiorno or Totino’s for fear of what kinds of atrocities I might find.
My favorite detail about the gunfight at the O.K. Coral has always been that the outlaw gang called themselves the “Cowboys.” Shows the level of intelligence and creativity these particular real-world criminals were working with, doesn’t it?
