NYC Blog #6 | Rollerskating is trending

Rollerskating has always been around in pockets of New York City. From niche clubs to roller derby. But lately it has been getting some mainstream attention. I thought it would be great to do a video on rollerskating and the skating culture in NYC. But I don’t think I have the time to do that anytime soon. So in the meantime, here is a list of places to skate:

In the photo: The finals of the Gotham Roller Derby I attended a handful of years back. It was The Bronx Gridlock versus The Queens of Pain.

Just where I want to spend my weekend - JFK :-) A lot of people are spending nights at the airport now for absolutely free :-( :-)

Same here. The TWA looks like so much fun. But there's really nothing else out there other than the hotel and it's facilities. Could be a good retreat weekend I guess.

Interesting insight, thanks. I know I could talk my daughter into roller skating at Rockefeller Center. I've always wanted to stay at the TWA Hotel - I'm a big fan of the old Connie's. But then again, who wants to drive to JFK unless you have to? Roller Derby :-) :-)
