BETA (Patrons only)

Hello patrons,

I'm happy to announce the first version of the new engine, this version should be as complete as possible but certainly not bug free or polished. Please share any bugs and problems you find.

I program for the hardware and not for emulators... that means some parts need the support of raster effects and perfect timing - I am sure that will break most emulators... except MAME & MESS with a very accurate emulation.

You are free to post pictures, information or videos on the internet but please keep it private and enjoy the exclusivity.

Does anyone need help to use these attached files?

Hello, these builds run on stock Top- & Frontloader - no UniBios etc. required! In theory also on CDZ but this ISO does not pass the integrity check.

Hi there! new here...question, i don't have a neosd, but aside from and aes and mvs, i have a neo cd top loader... if i guess correctly, i just need to burn it onto a CD and it will work? or do i need a modded neo geo cd for that? thanks!

Most games of this genre avoid this kind of multidirectional scrolling because of the lack of overview but I am bored of linear gameplay and didn't want to create another platformer of this kind. I am aware of the problems (maybe they can be avoided by better level design), so I increased the lifebar from 3 to 5 and, as a small compensation, the coins you lose on a hit will give you additional points when you pick them up again.

Me too ! I’ve tested it on my cd top loading and NeoCD SD loader and the game worked fine. I don’t understand the message above concerning the non-skipping feature of the How to play screen. I was able to skip it on my side... strange... The game is still beautiful, and the music too! Just a little thing concerning the scrolling or the level design. When I played I was often killed by objects (enemies or traps) which appears suddenly from outside of the screen and I was unable to avoid them ... Maybe the displayed screen is a little bit too small or too tricky against me. Was it possible to add a small zoom out to be able to see far away in the level ? Sorry for my english ;) Hope you’ll understand what I mean :)

I had the opportunity to play with a friend! Yes I said it! A Friend damn it! Overall we loved the experience! It seems it is 'Versus Coin Battle' or it could be a 'Cooperative Play'. If you VS each other a stat screen showing the number of Wins VS Losses could appear at the end of the round. To play together you need to collectively collect a certain number of coins to progress to the next level! In this mode if the Players could do a special move to get to higher heights this would be a great 'Team Work' move! Also love allowing the user to select their level so they can pick their path! Boss Battle - Epic! - Full Screen, Team Up Attacks, Guns? Apples and Oranges - We need Phil's Help Negative Nancy says "Sometimes jumping down to an area with alot of hazards feels unfair." Maybe you could make indicators at the bottom of the screen or a map that indicates hazards and treasures. This will help players know a secret exists and avoid falling into an area with many badies and traps!

The name in the NEOSD-list is not the filename itself. The displayed name is in the header of the NEO-file. Take a look at the documentation of the NEOSD.

Just played my first 5 minutes and I love it so far. Playing on an AES w/ NEOsd and it worked perfectly. Maybe it's just me but I tried changing the file name before placing it on my SD card and it reverted back to the original in the SD menu. Not a problem, just had me confused for a bit until I found it.

I'm on the run. I will post more details exact hardware asap. - MVS - 1 Slot small style ( Will post when I know the exact model) - Free Play dips are NOT on. - Uni Bios 4.0 - NeoSD (Not Pro Version) - Most testing was done in Europe mode but I think I changed it to USA mid test. I will give better information and run more tests as soon as I can.

Hmm, it seems that you have faced 2 problems. Please list your hardware, there are so many combinations: NGCD/MVS/AES + BIOS/UNIBIOS + MVS-/AES-/FREEPLAY-mode + NeoSD etc?

I agree about the how to play skip thing. If you press start it should really skip past it. But it plays great, Cant say I had any time to play with the dip settings though.

Yup I just enjoyed my first session!!!!!! Thanks so much for the shout out made my night! New Level Layouts!!!!!!!!! More feedback to come: Is anybody able to turn off the How To Play? When I disable it in the Soft Dip it always seems to stay on. Can "How To Play" be skipped? If not that is my first suggestion. Maybe allow for a quick out if the user touches a button during the sequence. Starting a new game and launching into Continue: As I was tinkering with the Soft Dip trying to turn the 'How To Play' sequence off in MVS mode when the game started I was immediately brought to the 'Continue' screen. Here's what happened. 1. Soft Dip 2. Select Stage 2. How To Play Sequence 3. Game Starts on the continue screen. I'm not sure how to replicate yet. Maybe get to the 'continue' screen then go to the 'Soft Dip' then exit and try to start a new game.
