2025-04-07 00:33:29 +0000 UTCFor me, I think it was more of the fact that Erwin was just ready to die. He was stuck in a position where he couldn't afford to unravel. And it showed during his talk with Levi, prior to the charge. From a realistic standpoint of what may have been better for humanity - Erwin was the right choice. But from the standpoint of irrevocably destroying a man's tired soul - Armin made more sense. I think that's why Levi made the choice he did, he just didn't want Erwin to suffer anymore.
