May Content Poll Results

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a good Memorial Day weekend. I know it's been about a week since my last post, so I wanted post and let everyone know what's going on. I also wanted to post the results for the May content poll. There were some close questions, one in particular was separated by THREE votes!

Before that though, I'm sure a few people want to know what's up with Hunter's Quest. Well, in my rewriting and editing this weekend, I translated something I guess I wasn't supposed to. It was a stupid mistake, because I translated switch and variable names along the way, so that I could follow what the original developer was doing. It never caused me a problem in the past, but last week, I decided I was going to really edit and rewrite some of the story to flow a lot better. In doing so, I translated a bunch of stuff that I had left in Japanese originally. RPG Maker is NOT conducive to tracking down errors, figuring out what is tied to scripts, or easily copying and pasting your work if you have to restore from backup.

What does this mean? I means I'm trying to track down the problem right now. If I don't get it resolved tonight or tomorrow, I will post Hunter's Quest version 0.99 tomorrow. It is a rolled back version that is completely translated, but does not have the story changes I made last week, or most of the addition quest lines (it does have the NPC reactions and mini events). I'll then leave it up to people to determine if they want to give it a try then or if they want to wait until I fix the problem (or, copy all the new stuff into the rolled back version, God I hope that isn't the only option). As I said though, I will post version 0.99 or version 1.0 tomorrow.

All in all, a fun poll for me to see what you guys think. I was surprised at the night event, didn't think the hypnotize option would win. I was pretty happy the jail option one. Just think, what will have to happen for Aylia to convince the guards to let her talk to the prisoner? Will she be able to persuade the noble to drop the charges? Should be quite intriguing... :-)

Now, back to bug hunting and working on Aylia's Story.
