Regarding the future of Mount Swell Games and Demon Lord Alice as well as this Patreon
Added 2025-07-10 13:44:15 +0000 UTCSince the final gameplay and story update has now been released, I want to to talk about what the future of the project will look like. First off, I want to thank everyone for the immense support that this project has been given over the last couple years! This project would most likely not have been possible without your support! My role on this project is essentially finished for now since I am just waiting for art to be finished and then be added to the game. As art is finished, I will be updating the game with the new art in small batches. As of right now, I still do not have a ETA on when all art will be finished, so I apologize for that.
Regarding the Patreon
Towards the end of this month (July 2025) the Patreon will be frozen indefinitely! What this means is that you will no longer be able to pledge to it and you will not be charged if you are already pledged to it. The reasoning behind this decision is that since the art is so up in the air, I cannot in good conscience have people pay monthly, especially now that there will no longer be coming any monthly updates to the game. As such, once August rolls around, Itch.io will be the only place to get Demon Lord Alice.
In closing
I want to thank everyone yet again for the support this project has gotten and I'm really grateful for it. It had ups and downs, especially with art, but all in all, I'm quite happy with how the game turned out and I hope you enjoyed experiencing it! I also want to thank everyone who has more directly helped with the development of the game, without your help, the game wouldn't have been possible either!
