Next episode updates!

Hey everyone, we're planning to record a movie catch-up in a couple of days and then we'll get to The Cable Guy later this month. We might have some time to check out any recent movies you feel are worth talking about so feel free to leave some recommendations. As it stands, we plan to discuss:

Here (2024)

The Tom Green Documentary (2025) & Freddy Got Fingered (2001)

Flight Risk (2025)

Wolf Man (2025)

Saturday Night (2024).... which Ryan & I already know we will have very different opinions on.

Tbf most of my suggestions were from late last year too lol

JP

Ha that's right!

Lux Anatis

All goes back to not having those Gentlemen’s Clubs theyve been talking bout

Mary and Steve

John Goodman should be renamed to John Greatman after that performance.

Lux Anatis

Male comradery!!! OOOOOOOO spooooky!!!

Lux Anatis

Have y’all seen the trailers for Friendship with Paul Rudd and Tim Robinson? Reminded me of the Cable Guy (which admittedly, I have not yet seen)

Mary and Steve

I saw someone describe it as ‘the type of movie your estranged dad watches on streaming and says ‘it was pretty good, actually!’ when you’re on the phone’ which p much seems to nail it

Mary and Steve

Not much of interest has gotten released recently that I’ve checked out, although I did watch the David Byrne film “True Stories.” Kind of don’t know what to make of it still, but I think I liked it.

The Film Smith

I'm gonna add one last one to this list: "Pratfall" starring Joshua Burdge. Ok I'm done now. Bye.

F Marry Kill

JP

I used to be funny

Cora Bora

JP

Definitely try to prioritize this one.

JP

Also not sure if y'all have seen it yet but "The Sweet East" starring Talia Ryder, Ayo Edebiri, Simon Rex, Andy Milonakis

JP

Breakup Season

JP

Just watched Flight, never saw it, will discuss.

Ryan Lancello

How about a review on Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead?

Killer Nerd75

Eagerly awaiting Flight Risk because I hear it’s.. something. And Marky Mark has a bad bald wig/makeup

97Brawl

Here was a bizarre experiment. Bobby Z seems more interested in the technology behind making movies than actually making good movies. His recent movies have been junk save for Flight which I don't think is talked about enough.

Justin Van Voorhis

Mrs Harris Goes to Paris was the superior film.

Lux Anatis

Again?

Lux Anatis

Have you guys seen Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar? Because of the pandemic, it end up going straight to Hulu, and flew under everyone's radar. It's humor is somewhere around Bridesmaids and Zoolander.

Ezra Spurrier

The real question is what movie did ryan call Joe to rant about? Saturday night or Here?

Luke Gordnier

Never say never.

Ryan Lancello

It's a recent movie and like you said standard biopic, so high chances are Ryan is going to get Joe blacklisted from Hollywood next episode

JokersJuicyAss

Excited to hear the evisceration of Here. I liked Saturday Night more than I expected but it’s still very much a standard biopic. I bet Ryan hated it

Tyler Mammen

Also speaking of Tom Green on his talk show he interviewed Jesse James Dupree the lead singer of Jackyl aka the band that use a chainsaw as a instrument for a song about jerking off, I bring this up because of how pissed Tom was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FzEK6Ndlms&ab_channel=Max

JokersJuicyAss

Will never happen. I got to him to watch Freddy Got Fingered for this so let's count our blessings.

Almost Cult Classics

I say Detroit Rock City is worth a watch

JokersJuicyAss

Get Ryan to watch Jim and Andy.
