After Gary had explained his condition, there were various raised eyebrows among the Howlers, including from the vampires. They didn’t fully understand his reasoning, but they trusted that Gary knew what he was doing.

Regardless of what the vampires thought, they had decided to accept the unusual request. In order to cement the deal immediately, they wanted to fulfill Gary’s request on the spot, leading everyone back outside to the destroyed street where Gary and Lucien had fought.

Standing alone in the center, Gary bounced on his toes, shaking out his arms and loosening up his body. His sharp eyes scanned the group of vampires before him, his anticipation growing.

"Alright, Haylock, you're always talking about understanding humans. So why would he request this?" Jin asked, folding his arms.

"Firstly, Gary is a werewolf, not a human," Haylock corrected. "Secondly, I have no idea."

One of the vampires stepped forward—not a leader, just one from the large group that had accompanied them. He walked until he was about ten meters away from Gary before bowing respectfully. There was a moment of hesitation, but ultimately, he had no choice but to follow Lucien’s orders.

"Alright, come at me," Gary said, his voice firm.

Without hesitation, the vampire charged forward, aiming a punch directly at Gary. However, with swift precision, Gary deflected both incoming fists before lifting his knee, driving it hard into the vampire’s stomach.

The vampire gasped, doubling over from the impact. But Gary wasn’t finished. In the same motion, he twisted his body and delivered a devastating roundhouse kick to the vampire’s face, sending him sprawling onto the ground.

The impact was brutal. The vampire lay motionless, clearly unable to continue.

A small wave of satisfaction ran through Gary. He had been wondering for the longest time how he would complete the quest. When the vampires arrived, he thought this was his chance. But now, with an alliance forming, his opportunity for a power boost before facing Lupus was slipping away.

That was, until he devised a solution—a final condition to seal the deal with the vampires.

Even though Gary couldn’t use his transformation or skills due to his previous form, his body still possessed immense strength. He estimated that he was beyond the level of a typical Altered, perhaps even close to Harvor when he fought at full capacity.

And he had just proven that he could take them down without issue.

The next vampire stepped forward. This time, he utilized blood aura, sending sharp swipes at Gary from a distance. Even though the vampires knew they couldn’t win after witnessing Gary’s abilities, they still had their pride and fought with everything they had.

Dodging each attack with careful precision, Gary moved swiftly, weaving between the slashes of blood aura. The air around him was tense, but he remained calm, calculating his movements.

In one smooth motion, he struck with a backfist, sweeping the vampire’s legs out from under him, and then delivered a devastating stomp to the chest, ensuring he stayed down.

"I really don’t see the point of this," Jin commented, his arms crossed and shaking his head. "It’s starting to feel like he’s just trying to humiliate us."

"Maybe he’s venting some frustration for us attacking him earlier," Numan suggested. "After this, the vampires and the Howlers will be aligned. We have to be careful not to create unnecessary tension between our groups."

The third vampire entered the fray, doing his best to land an attack. Lucien, watching closely, couldn’t help but smirk as he observed the match unfold.

He analyzed Gary carefully, noting how he had to fight differently without using his werewolf form or special abilities.

"I think I somewhat like Gary," Lucien admitted, much to the surprise of the other leaders. "Watching him now, his fighting style is… refined. He’s talented.

"He isn’t just relying on raw power or brute strength. He can see everything, and his mind is working at high speed to calculate the best possible movements."

Lucien’s grin widened. "It’s no wonder he became the AFC champion in the end."

“Did he though?” Jin asked. “The whole thing was called off.”

The other vampire leaders had nearly forgotten just how much of a martial arts fanatic Lucien was. He studied everything he could, pushing for advancements in vampire combat techniques. He had even forced all vampires, regardless of their lineage, to train in hand-to-hand combat.

Vampires had their own unique fighting styles, but Lucien had made it his mission to refine them further. Beliving it would give them an edge in the future, and even against the Werewolves if it came to it.

"My King," Numan interjected. "Even if you admire him, you know it’s dangerous to get too close. We don’t know what the future holds. We must keep this strictly as an alliance—nothing more, nothing less. And remember your own words.

"The requirement is that Lupus must be eliminated. We vampires have been through too much to let this war drag on any longer."

Gary’s grin only widened as he prepared for his final opponent.

This time, he couldn’t contain his excitement. Instead of waiting for the vampire to make a move, Gary charged forward at lightning speed.

Before his opponent could even react, Gary delivered a single, devastating punch straight to the vampire’s face. The sheer force of the impact sent the vampire crashing to the ground, knocked out in an instant.

Seeing the vampire Gary was just waiting for one more thing, and then he heard the ding in his head.
