Joy has always been white trash. There's no getting around about it.
But she's messed up pretty badly and was put out on an experimental parole program for violent offenders - one designed to help make it less possible for offenders to repeat their crimes. Joy is incrementally gaining weight due to mood stabilizers, tranquilizers, and adrenaline inhibitors in addition to mild appetite enhancers. The madder she gets, the faster this cocktail works through her system. Which means that Joy's... phew, Joy's getting big pretty fast.
This one has a very "slice of life" sort of feel that I particularly enjoyed writing for- here's hoping y'all enjoy it too!

2022-05-05 22:56:28 +0000 UTCJust double checking: Is the story supposed to end with "Meeting with Marco and Bella Singh had become rather commonplace ... even as she began to settle into her new life. Albeit slowly."? Felt to me like the paragraph was leading up to something. But enjoyed the story regardless. A nice "comeuppance gain" but not with the usual socialite or school bully. The mundaneness came across well.
