Welcome to The Rise of The Bear

The Rise of The Bear is now live on ArTorr!

My journey with The Bear first began over a year ago in early 2023. A couple of friends and I had just finished our weekly Dungeons & Dragons session, and were looking for something to put on in the background until we were ready to leave for the night. Having heard nothing but rave reactions to it on Twitter over the last several months, I suggested The Bear. Needless to say, we were captivated. I had never seen anything like it, and knew immediately it would become my next obsession. My good friend Devin Seiger was there too, and it's by no mistake that him and I would team up to write a video about the show later that year; beginning an unexpectedly long creative odyssey that would result in the weirdest and most intense video I have made to date. The final video is everything we wanted it to be and so, so much more; and we can't to watch you discover the twists and turns that defined that year-long journey we embarked on for yourself.

I still also owe y'all an editing walkthrough from the Jedi Survivor video! I've been wanting to show you my editing process in some way, and The Bear video may not be the most ideal project to do that with, so I will circle back on getting this out there as soon as possible.

That is both a reflection of the ever-difficult balancing act of personal, professional, and passionate pursuits I've had to strike throughout the year, and me losing a little bit of sight on goals and priorities that have always guided how I approach content here. This video broke me a little bit, but I do feel it was necessary for what comes next, which is something I will be talking in much greater detail about next week.
