I got my first DMCA 😩
Added 2025-06-06 10:55:05 +0000 UTCWell, it finally happened, this morning I received my very first DMCA notice by Google, courtesy of Webtoons (thank you for the milestone, I guess?):
Apparently, the issue (for now) seems to be just the fact that I listed supported websites on the page. According to them, even mentioning sites like these is considered "promoting scanlation websites."
The bad news? This definitely means Webtoons has seen the project… and this takedown is probably just the opening move. So, in future versions, I’ll probably give Webtoons the same treatment as Tapas — I’ll remove support from the main program and release an external script instead, just to be safe.
