You should also watch the outro for this special episode, the song is called "Under the Tree" and its done by SiM (the same ones that did the "Rumbling" song). There's a music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPX-L2F78fU

To be honest, I'd avoid reading online stuff. I got spoiled on the ending of AOT because manga people seem to get off on spoiling the show for anime viewers, so I'd just wait the 4 weeks and then go explore. There's loads of interesting theories and stuff, and interesting analyses of the show. But finish it, first.

After this chapter !!! the long wait begins :P

Congrats on catching up! I've been following your reactions for a while now, and just recently subscribed to your Patreon to watch season 4 with you, it's always a blast to re-experience this phenomenal show through the lens of other people! This special certainly is one for the books, a rollercoaster of heartbreak and despair, and not to mention Eren. Oh Eren... One of the most fascinating things about Eren and the Rumbling is just how many things led him to this point. When he first witnessed the memories of his future, he initially didn't want to believe that it all had to happen the way he had seen, he wanted to believe there were other options, but after seeing just how unbending the people of the outside world were with their hatred toward the Eldians on Paradis, he realized that the future may be just as unbending as them. He, of course, wants to protect Paradis, and most importantly, his friends, but there's another reason he enacted the Rumbling, a much more selfish one... As Eren confesses to Ramzi toward the start of the episode, upon learning what the outside world was really like, Eren was disappointed. Disappointed with the hatred and prejudice subjugated to the Eldians, particularly those on the island. And on a darker note, at least to a certain degree, disappointed with the existence of humanity beyond the walls at all. Eren and Armin shared a dream beyond the walls, one of picturesque beauty, a world without titans, and to Eren, true freedom. But of course, this didn't end up being the case. Instead, he saw a world that wanted to take his freedom away, and in his words: "Rather than let someone steal my freedom, I'll steal theirs first." He's always been this way by nature. He is such a deeply layered and tragic character, and it really is a shame that things had to end up this way. But it wouldn't be Attack on Titan without tragedy. On the topic of Reddit, big subreddits like r/ShingekiNoKyojin and r/AttackonTitan are fine, just avoid any posts with the manga spoilers tag. And avoid Manga subreddits like r/Titanfolk. See you back in November for the series finale!

I believe that Eren's Isolation when it comes to starting the Rumbling stems from the deaths of the original Levi Squad from S1. He wanted to believe that they can do it themselves (Stopping Annie) but seeing as how they all died because of his inaction, it prompted him to rely more on himself. Seeing as there was no solution to the Eldian problem, he pushed everyone away and acted on his own, and burden all of the sins that comes with it.
