Hi K! Just wanna start off by saying that you’re amazing and your audios are always such an amazing source of comfort for me. I have a question that needs a bit of context I guess: My current partner and I are pretty in tune but I wish that there was more of a dom/sub dynamic in our everyday conversations because I enjoy that kind of attention and find that it helps with my productivity. I’ve asked him about this and he said that he’s not comfortable doing that, and I respect that, but I’d still like to be able to meet that need. Do you have any advice on how someone can get those needs met while still respecting the comfort of their partner?

And honestly, once I stopped being a nanny and not getting sick every five minutes, it was much easier to get a handle on. My one biggest trigger has always been cigarette smoke, followed by cleaning chemicals. Smelling it triggers my vocal chords to snap shut, so I cough, repeat cycle lol. But those are much easier to purposely avoid. Also as long as I never let my «chronic» sinus infection get to develop into bronchitis or something, <i>I had a good 9 year stretch where it didn't turn chronic like it has post covid. I don't sleep well, lol, but that has nothing to do with this. I don't need to wear a CPAP or anything. I'm terrified of surgery in general, a Dr paralyzed and almost killed my dad in surgery when I was young - hence PTSD - but when I had brain surgery at the end of 2021, I was a bit more worried about my breathing. I'd never been put that deeply under or for that long. But I have never and will never have surgery when they don't know or understand what this condition is cause I'm not about to die on the table cause my vocal chords wanted to be cute lmao but even then..I HAVE burned my vocal chords from coughing so hard stomach acid burned them - some doctors thought I had a bad case of GERD. But it was a symptom, not the cause. I'm hoping as soon as I get control over it again, I'll be able to go another long stretch without having it be such a massive pain in my ass like it is now. 🤞🏻😁 Oh and it's not painful by itself - it's the violent coughing that hurts. I'm trying not to break my ribs this time haha. It can give you a headache, coughing that hard and for me it affects my trigeminal neuralgia «an entire shit show of it's own lol» and can make it hurt but that's all ‹FINALLY!› becoming more manageable 😊 if I missed a question or you have more, please! ask away! The more people learn about these weird things, maybe someone else won't wait seven YEARS for answers like I did. </i>

I know a fair bit about the mechanics of human voice production (I study Linguistics (actually, Computational Linguistics now. But I used to study general Linguistics)) and we looked at the larynx in detail. I am very sorry about your condition :( I can imagine it being painful, exhausting and scary too. Can I ask you, can you talk properly? Or is it painful / does it sound differently whenever you talk?Hmm, I would've guessed that there is no treatment for it as of now, but I really wish there will be one soon. The problem is, one can damage the vocal folds and larynx so easily, especially during surgery =/ and the fact that long-covid is making it even worse (with all the coughing) sounds intimidating. How do you sleep at night? (Like, with an oxygen mask or so?) Sorry for all these questions but it was interesting to read your story. I wish you all the best and hope that science will be able to help you soon!💗

I have a super rare condition called paradoxical vocal fold motion disorder so basically my throat is trying to choke me out and kill me.. like all the time. Especially now that I had covid and ended up with long covid..I cannot stop coughing. It's SO. PAINFUL sometimes.. I choke all the time, I've broken ribs on a few occasions coughing so hard from this condition. I can't breathe a lot once I get sick my symptoms REALLY come out. I'll choke on absolutely nothing ..it took about 7 years to get diagnosed and the only reason I FINALLY did was I lived on the east coast and the guy who discovered the condition was in Manhattan.. so I just drove 20 minutes to the doctor. In order to be diagnosed, they stick a camera up your nose and down your throat «with no numbing!!!» and they make you talk and record it to see what your vocal cords are doing. I didn't know then but I had one of the worst panic attacks of my entire life having that done because as it turns out I do have an anxiety disorder AND I have ‹diagnosed› PTSD from medical trauma, so I'm glad at least I got that diagnosed as well a few years later. As for the PVFMD, there's no treatment for it. Just PT for your lungs, learning how to breathe properly.......... I wish I were kidding 😂

Lol Recently, I semi-dated someone (which is a story in itself). We talked about sexy likes/dislikes fairIy early and somewhere in the convo I slid in the tidbit about breast play being a thing for me. I had this happen a lot when I used to listen to a couple of old albums by an artist named Gackt. I might have to do a dream experiment with JVKE's album. About being someone's first. I've never been anyone's first time overall, but I was someone's first woman. It was probably the most encouraging I've ever been during sex. She still questioning, so it was even more important to make it special but stress-free for her. I like to think that I did okay. Kelp, (Apologies if thats not the right username) fellow introvert here! I was always the quiet one. Even the quiet, weird one at some point. I had the added "bonus" of growing up fat, dark, ugly. She also had me resume some of the things I enjoyed when I was a teen- tweaked a bit because of age and time. And then to recalibrate my brain from viewing myself negatively, she constantly reminded me that if I wouldn't talk about my friends that way, I don't get to talk about myself that way. Fast forward a bit and I came to the realization that I was never quite as invisible as I thought. In order for people to deem me "the quiet one," or even "the ugly one," they had to notice me in the first place. Turns out there had been people who found me attractive, even during that time frame of being "the ugly one." And I can't pinpoint exactly where in the journey talking to people, flirting even, became sort of easier. Granted, it's never super easy because anxiety. But it *did* become easier. I'm going to stop myself here before I ramble off more details than anybody could ever want. I know that I'm TMI-ing y'all to death (*^▽^*)ゞ

I study at University and I'm the first person who has really high expectations about herself and the results she should get (talkin' about exams, schedules and so on). When I was at high school I had really high marks, I was able to reach the maximum results with as much effort as it was needed (and nothing more than that) and now that I'm at University I'm kinda stuck, beacuse I study something I really like, but I don't reach the results I wanna reach and I feel like I'm late, compared to some other "classmates" and even knowing that the study path I choose should take only 3 years to be compelted (even tho the average, for my specific studies, may take 5 years to be compelted). As I was saying, I have really high expectations about this kind of stuff, I feel I'm late, I know my parents are working freakin' hard to pay rent and taxes and I don't get those damn results, and adding to all of that, people from my homwtown have always known me for my results, so they expect a lot from me as well. The fact that I don't fit anymore in my previous standards annoys and bothers me, and I even feel crappy sometimes about all of tha, because I know I've choosen a challenging study path, but I want this to be my future. Probably cause of the society and community I live in. I love them, but I know people around me aren't really that accepting if I have questions about stuff that are considered "taboo" for them. It's crazy how sex-ed is still considered taboo in my place when I think sex-ed should've been taught as early as you can so children can learn how to set boundaries since young and prevent traumatic events you don't ever want to experience in life. And not teaching it early makes the children to look for answers in various places on the internet and sometimes it could give them misinformations which could lead to a worse situation. Sorry for rambling again 🙃 Anyway! Am so stocked if you'll ever be a Vtuber! I never watch any vtuber before but if it's you, I'll gladly oblige 😁 heck I'll subscribe if you ever make a twitch channel or something. I think twitch is not just for streaming games? Cooking is my love language and I always want to try different recipes to make my family and friends happy. But if you are cooking just for yourself, you don’t feel like making an effort. It feels like a chore and you end up eating crackers throughout the day instead lol.

Graduation should be filled with happy memories and feelings of letting go of college life and stepping into your career. I feel like since I moved on to college I have lost all my close friends and don't know how to navigate this situation without people getting hurt😔

It’s made me wonder if I should tell my future partner(s) that I was a virgin or if I should be honest and tell them how horrible it was and felt.
