Serotonin (redraw)

This was one of my earliest comics from 2020. I’d been wanting to redraw it for quite a while now. Since returning to making comics I’ve been making a conscious effort to do some things differently (more vibrant colours, dots for pupils, etc) but it’s fun to look at the natural progression of how different my style has become over 5 years.

I don’t have the original files for a lot of my early comics unfortunately. I used to draw on Photoshop using a Wacom tablet at my desk connected to my MacBook. My MacBook unceremoniously died one day in my last year of university and took with it a lot of files, both personal and university work. I much prefer drawing on Procreate anyway. It’s more intuitive and being able to just draw on my iPad is so much easier than having to have a Wacom tablet connected to a computer. I took my Wacom tablet and laptop to a cafe once to do uni work, it drew too much attention for my introverted self.

This comic took 2 hours.
