planning on adjusting vote powers
Added 2022-12-12 06:19:42 +0000 UTCrecently i have noticed that higher tier (especially 9) polls arent having that many participants and barely affecting the poll results for their investments so i was thinking of how would it be to increse power for them
here is how my idea goes:
$3 tier: remain the same (1 vote)
$6 tier: x2 for the extra vote (total 3 votes)
$9 tier: x2 for the extra vote + x3 for the second extra vote (total 6 votes)
it is just an idea that i am considering right now and going to apply soon if its okay or not if it is not, would the suggested adjustment be reasonably rewarding the patrons?

I make a lot of suggestions that aren’t popular even with the tiered voting, so a single vote system wouldn’t be any better or worse for me. However I mainly pledged to see your original content and the fanart is more of a bonus.

2022-12-13 05:36:53 +0000 UTCHonestly, you are talking about the current situation where that's what I already feel happens. I vote for what I like and it never seems to win or succeed. I'm wondering if this puts me in the minority for what I enjoy in terms of content, since what you're talking about is already going on. Also, as a point....a lot of what I see for suggestions going on are stuff I don't even have a distinct like for....or is content I would not look for. So I currently just vote because I can, not because I'd like to. It wouldn't be very hard to convince me to vote for something I don't enjoy because a huge chunk of it are suggestions from content I am currently neutral at best on.

2022-12-12 17:41:09 +0000 UTCOne thing I will warn you on, is to watch out for giving too much vote power out to the higher tiers. It sounds like a great idea on paper, but what can happen is your largest voting tiers at the bottom overwhelmingly vote for something, only to have it lose to a handful of voters who pay the most, and that feels mega awful and makes a lot of people stop voting or even stop subbing. More voting power is not a bad concept in of itself, but too much can be very dangerous, so be careful

2022-12-12 07:00:07 +0000 UTCI feel like it would work better if there wasn't extra weight to each tier for voting and, instead everyone's vote is counted the same amount and can only vote once. That way its actually important to place a vote as you want instead of it being a checklist.
