Important Personal Update

Hello everyone, I hope your summer has gone well! I will be delayed from finishing this month's set for a little bit, I'll explain a bit below.

My grandfather has been struggling with liver cancer for the last 6 years, and kicking it's ass like a champ. In 2016 he was given a month to live, and he's turned that into 6 years, living in every rich moment. But it seems it's finally caught up with him. After this last trip to the hospital, it seems he's hit the end of the road. His doctors have given him a week, 2 at most. He's being released from the hospital and hospice is ready for him in his home, to help ease his passing.

He's asked me to draw something for him, a Scrooge Mcduck drawing. He's a big fan of the wealthy duck character, and so I'm happy to divert my energies to that end, hoping I can get it done in time. I think I can.

Above is the drawing I'm working on, based on his request. He's asked that I adjust the beagle boys to be more like their classic look, so I'll be doing that, cleaning the lines, and giving it a good coat of color before printing it and handing it to him within the next day or two. 

I love my grandfather and I am grateful to have had this time with him. At 79 he's had a rich life, full of accomplishments to be proud of. He's served as my father for most of my life, and a lot of my own sensibilities come from him and his practical wisdom. I am blessed to have a family that cheers on my career path, but he's one of the few who would get down and dirty with me on the business and marketing talks, always encouraging me with his own business wisdom and experience as a true sales master.

I don't know what to expect in the coming days, but I am ready to be supportive of whatever he may need or want from me and the rest of the family.
