Geez, these have been slow going. I've been in a funk or something the last couple of months, where my sketching takes waaay longer than usual... It's like I spend the same amount of active time at the desk, but just keep going over things, unsatisfied with the results. The more days I loose to this sort of occurrence, the more stressed I get about it. I usually end up with something I am happy with, but it's taking me a bit longer to get there, lately.
In the past, these sorts of spurts of dissatisfaction with my art meant that I was getting close to another artistic growth spurt. Reason being that my dissatisfaction tends to lead me to improving until I am happy with my work again. Hopefully that's the reason, because it's frustrating when it impacts my punctuality...
Perhaps I need to do another "drawing a day" for a month challenges. That really helped me, in the past.
I know I say it all the time, but I want to thank everyone who supports me, here. Truly. It's reassuring to know that you guys are willing to deal with my irregular schedule with these posts, and I hope that the end results of these pieces shows that I am really trying to put my best work forward. Not only for myself, but for you guys who enjoy the work I do. So thanks again for giving me the opportunity to spend my time doing what I love to do. Thank you!
Oh, and as usual, the high resolution files will be sent out on the 5th. I'll have these done by then, no doubt.

Thanks man! I guess I am just venting about regular artist issues... I just hate it when it effects my deadlines, because I feel like I should do better. It's a struggle between spending as much time needed in order to put my best work forward, and realizing that there's a point where I should just "let it be" and finish a piece, and move on to the next one. Maybe someday I will learn that balance, but for now, it's a struggle!

2018-07-01 20:16:46 +0000 UTCI was speaking more about the technical stuff in terms of fundamental art skills. Things such as lineweight, color balance, shading and lighting, etc. Skill based stuff. I don't really want to change out my $400+ drawing tablet, haha! It works just fine, and I'm super used to it. :D

2018-07-01 08:21:57 +0000 UTCIt's not that I am unhappy with the themes or content, it's that I am struggling to be happy with the results, in terms of technical stuff. Like, feeling like I could be more accurate with anatomy, or linework, or color choices, etc... I am not really interested in drawing girls with peens, but I am sure there's plenty of artists out there that do that well, so I don't really feel like it'll hurt anything if I abstain. XD But I appreciate the suggestions, all the same!
