Festival - Colored Sketch WIP
Added 2014-12-18 00:13:03 +0000 UTCHere is a Work In Progress shot of my newest personal piece. It was just a bit of randomness one night that evolved all on it's own. I started out drawing the girl, then threw a background in there. Then I felt that it needed people! I may add a few other things, to really give it that lively "festive" feel to it. For example, that boy needs another kid to be playing swords with. I am thinking a chubby kid with a pot on his head. Anyways, I just wanted to share this, and let everyone know what's up! You can download it to see the full sized image. I will probably be sharing this one publicly on my DA page, just because I need to update my portfolio with some completed illustration work, but for now, you guys can get some first peaks at the sketch phase. Oh, I missed this comment, somehow! Oh, you know, I hadn't thought about the color choices for the guards and flags, but you are totally right! They do match that elven fighter characters colors! Good call, I might have to use that, haha...

I love the folks in the background, the gossiping girls, the elven dancer in the background, and the girl on the left watching the whole thing. I also noticed that the colors on the flags and the design on the guards armor is very similar to the the elf warrior's in the first set you did. Coincidence? Anyway, the main figures of the enchanter and the kids are really great, love the joyous feel to this one. Stark contrast to the dark mystery of the elf huntress. Great job looking forward to seeing it evolve.
