Keep it light, Keep it fun!

Here are the first set of director notes I did on @Uiita_'s shot Now Uita is a fantastic animator, and this is in no way a slight against his skills, but every project has specific needs and every animator experiences a learning curve or an adaptation period on each new project they take part in. With that out of the way, here are some of the additional written notes I shared with Uita:

"Alright here, are all of my notes, and I'll put some of it here too just to reiterate the important points. I just pointed out her more elongated, stretched proportions, as well as facial structure and keeping in mind the cartoony style we're aiming for. Squashing, stretching, smearing and exaggerating poses. I know your a great animator, so if it can express the movement and emotion more by breaking the posing guide I offered, I trust you to do that! As for everything else, it's in the document, my little piece of advice, be a bit more rough, loose and free with your first pass, so you can focus on movement and general proportions / composition alone, and then come back for secondary movements and then cleaning it up after it's been approved."

Let me know if you pick anything up from this, and if you've learned anything.
