MIDI

Alright folks, here's a little video about MIDI; at least from a general PC users perspective. What was once an incredibly popular go-to for Gaming and media playback, has somewhat disappeared over the years, this video explores where it went.

Although I'm fascinated by the world of MIDI, I haven't used it as much as I'd liked over the years, so apologies for any discrepancies. Feel free to point anything out.

This video makes use of my new Lumix GH5, which I was able to upgrade to, thanks to you fine folks. So enjoy the flicker 'freeness' of the CRT!

Wow this took me back. Not specifically MIDI but getting my first Adlib card and being blown away by it (compared to the previous beeps and boops). Then to my first Sound Blaster... and cursing interrupt configuration for years to come :)

Yes! I've been experimenting with a few. Going to try and get some running on the AWE64.

lgr did a group of midi hardware reviews, there are websites where you can download soundfonts like https://woolyss.com/chipmusic-soundfonts.php (OPL3 and snes) or https://sites.google.com/site/savirtualorgans/home/miditzer216-robert-morton-sf2 (Theatre Pipe Organs)
