A Quick Note on Sponsorship
Added 2019-09-23 21:08:18 +0000 UTCSo I just wanted to update you folks, regarding my latest video... the one about hacked websites in the 90s.
No matter what I do. What I censor out, Youtube refuses to monetise it. I've even beeped out words like "horny" to see if it helps, but to no avail.
So I've made the tough decision to instead, bring a sponsor on board for that particular video. It's something I've considered for a while, as it seems to work well on many other channels, but I wanted a) for there to be a good reason, and b) for it to be relevant to the content. On this occasion, I believe both those boxes are ticked.
Anyway, I think it actually incorporates quite well into the video. If you want to take a look, then it's at https://nnerd.es/2mcRnqC
I wanted to tell you guys, mainly because, well, because you're excellent. But also because you're my main source of funding for the channel, which isn't going to change, as it's a model I really love.
But in future, as with this one, if I ever do run with sponsorship again, for similar reasons, or because a sponsor fits a certain topic, then I will naturally provide you guys with a "clean" video, free from the sponsor roll and any advertising beforehand.
I hope this makes sense. Thanks for listening, and I hope you continue to have an utterly damn splendid evening.
Pete
