What went wrong with the C64 SF2

I had to play this game for several hours, so BE GRATEFUL.
Also, it's quite interesting.

Thanks to Germans idiotic youth protection laws in combination with more idiotic gambling laws, we never had your huge video game arcades and hence i never saw that in the arcades back then. my first touch with Street Fighter 2 was on the SNES. But my most loved version was for DOS.
