This month's step-by-step video is being replaced by this rambly, personal, candid tour of a sketchbook from the spring/summer of 2018. You guys voted and chose this sketchbook (perhaps because of the mention of falling in love 👀). I think it's a good fit for February. I hope you don't mind that this is the most scatterbrained, rambling video I think I have done yet. I am speaking aloud the thoughts that I have in live-time without censoring anything! Nothing fancy, nothing edited out, just real recollections.
At this time in my life I was a sophomore in college at Ringling going into the summer where I began to discover my love for adventure and the outdoors. I became a teaching assistant at the precollege program at the school that summer, as well as traveled up to Georgia for a week of hiking and exploring. It was also this time that I began to fall in love--though it was not easy. It was rocky, a little messy, confusing, but incredibly interesting. I hope you enjoy. I'd love to do another one of these soon!
Brand of sketchbook is handbook, most media is posca acrylic markers, micron pens, faber castell markers, copic markers, gouache, oil paint, acrylic paint and muji pens.
