I gotta say I don't understand what the desired effect would have been with this one, even if it had worked somewhat accurately. Too clever by half perhaps?

2025-03-05 09:10:27 +0000 UTCPossibly, if the core kept pace with the slug it may have been more stable during flight. It may have then forced forward at impact causing deeper penetration. But that would actually negate the idea of a trailing projectile doing something useful. My daughter suggests that a pilot hole through the front of the slug instead of the spring might be a useful experiment.
