First full on VLIVE reaction & analysis. I reacted to one in the past but it was accompanied by an award show speech. Curious to hear your thoughts on the vlive content -- I'd love to dive into some more.

BTS VLIVE 2021 - Analysis (Uncut: 58 Minutes)

Sorry I'm late but about your question on their achievements with ARMY, I agree that it depends on the relationship and level of involvement with BTS. But being part of the fandom means that you're in a way already connected to them pretty strongly. So in my opinion when they say that ARMYs did it, we do feel both ways. We think of it as an achievement ourselves since ARMYs work hard to support BTS. The fandom is known for being really involved and organized when it comes to awards, numbers, charts etc. There are also celebrations and congratulations within the fandom. ARMY definitely know how to be loud and proud on praising BTS achievements lol. But at the same time I think it's safe to say that we all acknowledge and give it to BTS first when they achieve something. The reason why ARMY put so much work and engagement in supporting BTS is simply because we genuinely want BTS to be happy. It's like we want to give back somehow, we are so thankful for BTS, for the way they help and inspired us through their music and who they are. As much as BTS think they wouldn't be where they are without ARMY, we actually feel the same way for BTS. It's a forever feeling of gratitude between each other. We always say in the fandom that we don't deserve them, and they often imply that they don't deserve the fans on their end either. It's a bit more deep and complex than that, but at the end of the day, BTS and ARMY are part of a unique entity, a huge family. It feels like a mutual and horizontal relationship. We often feel that we overcame struggles and accomplished things together since the connection is so strong. What Yoongi said during a concert pretty much describes how we see it when BTS achieve something: "I think we BTS are climbing up a mountain… mountain after mountain… you’re all always pushing us from behind to help us reach the top. But you know how people are. When they reach the top, most people forget the people pushing from the back. But we BTS think [ARMY is] not pushing us from behind. We think we’re climbing up the mountain while holding your hands. We think that everyday."

I agree, that university professor's talk was so interesting!!!

I’m only a handful of minutes in but I’m already laughing. “Maybe they have up to 10 million watching!” “They need to keep the audience engaged.” Max, 15 million people watched Jungkook listen to music and vibe alone in his living room for 2+ hours the other day. He drank beer and got a bit drunk, sang some karaoke, then decided to take a rest “for a few minutes”, encouraging ARMY to rest, too. He put a lit candle in the frame for us to see before falling all the way asleep on his couch. The crackling candle was soothing so I dont know how much time (15 minutes?) that I and millions of other ARMY watched his living room while he took a nap off screen before the feed abruptly cut off. Either the battery ran out or the company cut it off remotely. If the feed hadn’t cut I guarantee that he would still have a lot of viewers when he woke up 4 hours later. Trending on Twitter: “He’s asleep”, “He snored”, and “blow out the candle”. I’ve fallen asleep on the phone with friends/sweethearts before but never 15 million of them.

Hello Max there’s a really interesting video with a university profesor Jiyoung Lee who is also an Army and was invited to a Korean tv show to explain Army in a serious and deep way if you’re interested that could help. https://youtu.be/Uaj1X76h2mQ

Yea I know what reaction you are talking about. Serendipity MV reaction. The most funny thing was that was that guy’s first time reacting to bts and he got that feeling from jimin

Jane Thomas

Yess. He always comes on Twitter to write this whenever they win an award. He is so precious

Jane Thomas

There was a group reacting to BTS or a Jimin solo BTS song, "Serendipity" and one of the members said, there was something about Jimin that made him feel safe. So yet again you are spot on. RM, Yoongi, and JHope, Jin too somewhat, love conversation. Yoongi and RM especially. They love to sit back and have a chat. I think that's why they are so good at taking the lead at times like these. At times it changes up I'm sure.

SND

When BTS would win an award Jimin would always say, "Army you've won an award today".

SND

I agree with this. It's on the solo vlives when they interact with army the most and since this has been a topic of interest for you lately, I definitely think it would be a good idea to check out some solo vlives

AlinaMaria

I think a solo vlive from each member would be fun so you can see how they communicate with army when they are alone. Each have their one style.

Wow, I’m so excited to see you reacting to a vlive!! To be honest, this is a random one to choose but you got some good insights from it! There are lots of recommendations in the discord rec channel if you want some good/better options to react to. I would definitely love to see more!! Re the Ed Sheeran thing: this was right before their song Permission to Dance was released. We knew a song was coming but the name hasn’t been revealed yet. Ed Sheeran was the songwriter and he accidentally said the title in a livestream or interview or something. Bighit didn’t confirm or deny so there was a lot of speculation from army about whether that really was the title. Then Yoongi made these comments here about “the song title is already released, Ed Sheeran said it,” and essentially confirmed the spoiler. The staff and other members were trying to make him stop. 😂

Nicole

Would definitely love to see more vlive reactions in the future!

This! Or Hobi’s recent birthday livestream that jimin joins, or Hobi’s livestream from the PTDLA concerts where he shows off his hotel room. Hobi solo livestreams tend to be really good!

Nicole

If you are interested in livestreams, I'd recommend Hobi's recent livestream about his upcoming enlistment. I think he is a little bit more direct than normal in it!

I've seen that infamous clip of them apparently reading and reacting to hate comments many times but I've always been a little dubious about accepting that as fact as they're often fan edited and assumptions and those moments weren't edited out of this video the lag just made it choppy and hard to catch unless you're focused on it and know what you're looking for. Either way it did seem like maybe something was going on when Jimin was looking at the phone and he did seem a bit quiet and downcast but maybe he was just tired like they said and again we don't really know the full story. I imagine they generally receive hate comments/harassment during these lives which is horrible but it's amazing and also sad to see how well they deal with it. Because of the situation surrounding this vlive it was unfortunately hard for me to focus on your reaction and analysis. For future live reactions maybe you could check out discord as there are a lot of highly recommended ones on there!
