Border Patrol: Growing up in a small town, it's the HS bullies with no skills or higher education that goes into law enforcement. Vouchers: It's not just about giving to church. It's about not being exposed to people outside their socioeconomic strata. Basically, segregation is back on the menu. Voucher schools aren't beholden to anyone. They shut down, those students are back on the public education system without the funds.

2024-06-13 17:32:46 +0000 UTCThe part in this episode about the "Big Brother Scantron" reminded me of a really good show (which was cancelled before it was finished, of course) called "Colony" where there's an alien civilization that invades Earth. In flashbacks for certain characters that end up being "familiars", (can't remember the name in the show) they're literally handpicked based on a personality test, analysis of social media etc. As you can imagine, those most likely to be sycophantic/loyalist to the aliens are the ones that end up being picked. This is why I've used Signal Messenger for years. It's one of the few places left that's not being surveilled. Anyway, love the show. I discovered you nearly 10 years ago right before my Wedelopingmoon, listened to the entire back catalog, became a Patron 6 years ago, and never miss a new episode. You are an essential listen every week and I appreciate the work you do.
