Haiti is the only country that successfully revolted against slavery. Then the US stepped in on behalf of the bank and station marines there to ensure they'd continue working US plantations. I also remember our preacher talking about another preacher who visited Haiti. (You know the "I know this guy who totally told this absolutely true story that cannot be denied..." story). A voodoo witch doctor looked at him, and the preacher could see Satan in his hate-filled eyes. The witch doctor then attacked him. He ran at the preacher, screaming and hurled himself at the preacher, who did not flinch. Inches from the preacher the witch doctor hit this invisible wall and cried out in pain. He then scurried off, afraid of the power of the holy spirit. Hallelujah and amen! Uuhhh... yeeeahhh, suuuurrreee he did.
