Dr D you beat me to it thank you. “Died by suicide” is way more accurate than “committed”. Words matter so so so much, and it seems doubly so when talking frankly and openly about mental health struggles of others.

In talking about Nex Benedict, you used the phrase "committed suicide". I wanted to ask if you would consider saying something different in the future. The word "committed" is only used for illicit actions - we commit robbery, we commit adultery, we don't commit jogging - so most mental health advocates don't believe it is appropriate to use in the context of suicide. Preferred alternatives include "died by suicide," "died of suicide," or even "killed themselves," as those are value neutral. (You didn't say either of these, but while I'm talking about suicide terminology, I always like to add that we don't like to say "successful" or "unsuccessful" attempt, because suicide is not success. You can say "non-lethal attempt" or "survived the attempt" instead.)

I think we forgot the group of people who were most responsible for women's suffrage.... it's not old timey Republicans, or Democrats, it's women.

Given the complete NONregulatiom of ‘health food supplements’ and how many people on the Right shill this shit, when you said ‘WTF do these people all have less poisoning ‽’… YES, many of of them prob do. What’s worse is how many people give their kids this shit… you’re talking about a generation growing up with AT best, some stunted brain functionality

When I was in high school, my dad made $60k a year. I still don’t make that much money per year, and he wants to know why don’t buy a house.

republicans: "Vote for us or we'll cock block everything." They lay claim to ending slavery. True, but what have you done lately? Who gave them Civil Rights? When I vote (mail in), I research the candidates (Ballotpedia). Anyone was is/was republican loses my vote. Then I vote for women and minorities.

I lost my grandma in 2022 and I had to do the same calculus that you guys did to remember the exact date. Trying to paint Biden as a doddering old man if he couldn’t remember a thing like that would be absurd. Trying to paint him as that when he could remember the date is beyond the pale.
