Holy shit, I just listened to what peacocks sound like and man, I’m 100% sure they use those sounds for generic “jungle noises” for those 70’s cannibal films.

2024-01-27 22:16:29 +0000 UTCThere was a peacock about a quarter mile away in my grandparents neighborhood when I was a kid. I still remember hearing it in the mornings from a distance, with all the doors and windows closed.

2024-01-26 18:39:28 +0000 UTCI know Tom said he was reconsidering booking the emergency exit seats on flights -- but the thing that blew off of the plane wasn't a door, it was a "door plug." It's a part of the fuselage where the airline has the OPTION of putting an emergency door. This particular plane didn't have a door there, so to the passengers inside, it probably just looked like a regular wall panel.
