Added 2022-04-19 23:35:20 +0000 UTCNow that Season 9 of the Schmoedown is underway, we’ve decided to take a moment to reassess our pledge offerings to give our supportive fans the best experience possible. As we expand our weekly content on the Schmoedown YouTube channel, we’ve decided to reshape our Patreon tiers. We’re now offering two tiers with exciting NEW content plus some old favorites!
$5 Tier
- Early Access to part one of “Friday Night Titans” each week!
- Members-only Discord access
- Discord AMA’s with MTS Talent & Staff (1 per month)
$12 Tier
- all $5 benefits
- Exclusive Access to Star Wars Division Matches (every other Wednesday)
- Members-only Q&A livestream with MTS Talent & Staff (1 per month)
- Access to quarterly PPV events
If you are currently at a higher tier, those tiers will be going away, so make sure to downgrade before May 1 when the switch happens, or you will continue to be charged while in the "No Benefits" tier, meaning you may miss out on our member perks.
All tiers besides the $5, $12, and 2021 Legacy Tiers ($2 and $10 levels) will be deleted. If you do not fall into one of those categories be sure to switch before the end of the month. We will send a message to those tiers separately to remind members to make the switch.
Also, all April benefits will still be delivered, as these changes don't take effect until May 1.
FAQ
Star Wars is back?!
Virtual Star Wars division matches will be available to $12 patrons every other Wednesday, beginning May 4, 2022. These videos will be exclusive to Patreon throughout the duration of the regular season, except select questions/rounds used for marketing purposes. Championship matches will air publicly, during either “Friday Night Titans” or Schmoedown PPV events.
Does the Star Wars division still count?
Yes. Star Wars matches are still considered part of the MTS regular season, and qualifying wins count to their manager’s points.
What does Early Access mean?
Our weekly show, “Friday Night Titans” airs Fridays at 7pm ET (4pm PT) at https://youtube.com/theschmoedown. To show our thanks for your pledge, members will receive ‘part one’ of the episode (one full match) the day before. Learn about the show’s twists and turns early - or impress your friends by scoring a perfect round when the episode airs the next day!
What happened to the monthly PPV’s?
We have decided to no longer put episodes of “Friday Night Titans” behind the Patreon paywall. Instead, we will only be selling tickets for our specialty events: Free4All (April 30), Collision (July), Spectacular (December) and a brand-new event airing this fall.

What’s the difference between the AMA and the Q&A?
The AMAs, available to all our patrons, will be an ‘ask me anything’ style text conversation on our private Discord, between an MTS personality (on-camera or staff) answering any and all questions from the field. The Q&A livestreams (available to $12 patrons) will be a private livestream where an MTS personality is interviewed and answers questions from the live chat.

We love the exhibitions too, and we will be doing a few here and there but probably for the general public, to help raise awareness of the show (similar to Mike & Kevin's "Batman" match). With the shooting schedule the way it is, the writing staff is pretty taxed getting all the questions in order to bulk-shoot in the studio; we had to drop something in order to make room on everyone's plate for the SW division.

We are more than willing to go up to the $12. tier, due ti the changes, but because we opted to pay annually this past year, Patreon is not allowing me to change my tier to $12.00. Am I ok then? I don't want to be "deleted"!

It seemed like such a waste to have all these great personalities be introduced only for them to have next to no involvement in the league this season. These changes are great and makes being a patreon much more worth it. I'd rather have 2 star wars matches a month instead of getting early access to an episode of titans, which is what the PPVs essentially were. Very disappointed to hear about the lack of exhibition matches though. I loved those. They were always more relaxed and fun and gave opportunities to have themed matches. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're able to still get a few of these done. Thanks Schmoedown!
