2023-02-09 02:38:24 +0000 UTCIn college my senior project was self driving cars. We had sonar and optical range finding options, with plans for IR and laser. This was almost 30 years ago. Elon demanded Tesla use optical only for self driving, and that was the final nail in the coffin of "Elon is a genius" for me. If you have the ability to be superman, be superman, use Lidar and sonar and visual.
