You mean like many "Beavis and Butt-head" fans? I don't know a word for the people themselves, but the TV Tropes term "Misaimed Fandom" comes to mind.

(Is there name for people who don’t understand that characters with major personality flaws are funny because they’re oblivious to their faults, and not because those qualities are endearing?)
