You can use terms like BOAT and GOAT for other players, but Rocha has defined himself as the Most Important Player of all Time, and to me, that's impressive.

Rocha's passion and intensity have been on display since he showed up in the Afterbuzz studios for me. His relentless attitude, both at the table and on the mic, helped convert me from someone more interested in the trivia competition to someone who actually pays attention to the whole show; and from someone who joined the patreon at a low tier when it launched to someone who rearranged his budget to settle at the $10 tier so I'd never miss a match. And the documentary captured all that, but it was also illuminating to hear how his presence has had as much an effect behind the scenes as it has for the fans. Well done.

As a newer follower, this documentary really puts it all into perspective about who John Rocha is, what he means to the game, and what this game is all about. He has defined The Schmoedown as we know it.

It was a great story and it does a great job of showing the emotional connection competitors have to the game. Surprisingly it wasn't just all about Rocha, it's about the Schmoedown.

Was very entertaining. Felt a bit repetitive. Like some of the people getting interviewed just saying similar stuff. Would love to have seen some more behind the scenes stuff with Rocha.

The doc was amazing. Its infornitive and inspiring. It almost perfectly encapsulates the spirit of competition in the schemoedown. In a way that shows its more than just a nerdy little trivia competition. I feel like I could show it to people and they might just understand what I've loved about this thing since 2014.

This documentary is next level. The love and admiration shown by everyone is truly heartfelt and it shows very well. So happy they made this!!

Great documentary. Having the other competitors also share their journeys while also acknowledging that Rocha was pivotal to their careers and characters was amazing.

John Rocha has been my favorite player from the very beginning. This documentary really highlights the kind of competitor and person he is. Some of his matches have gotten me through some hard times and I am very thankful for it. It has been a joy to watch the journey he has gone through and it leaves me excited for the next phase. The Doc. not only chronicles how 1 person, FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGED the game, the sport & the future of the Schmoedown, but it's also best "promo" for, What is the Schmoedown? Why it's great, & why we LOVE IT! When one's peer's recognizes their hard work, dedication & their passion they have for something, and that then inspires & changes those around him to do the same, you know you have something special! For all the time we have been waiting and clamoring for a doc on Rocha’s Schmoedown journey, the payoff was well worth the wait. The Schmoedown Patreon continues to pay dividends to those of us that are part of it. Today I set my laptop up and watched the documentary in tandem with Rocha’s reaction. I laughed, I feared up, so many great memories and it really puts Rocha in context for all his contributions to the league. It also cements his legacy and influence on newer competitors.

I really loved watching it. It wasnt too long and was interesting to hear everyone. Especially Bibs part was really nice to watch. Only thing I wanted was something from Ellis or Knost.

This documentary was great! Rocha is definitely the heart and soul of the Movie Trivia Schmoedown and I don't think it would be what it is today without Rocha leading the way from the beginning. He established a consistent strong character first and embraced the WWE + Trivia formula. He was the first to embrace the idea of a faction and look where factions are now. You could argue he was the first manager for his faction or at the very least The Patriots/Lions Den took up the manager model in opposition to what Rocha was bringing to the game. I have always rooted for Rocha as a competitor and hope there's many more. Dan may have a better resume and have more natural knowledge and talent for the game but I think Rocha's resume and impact on the Schmoedown puts him right in the GOAT discussion.

As a fan of the Schmoedown since the very beginning it has been an incredible journey to watch the evolution of the league and the Outlaw ,from Top 10 to Horsemen,Bespin to Bronchiectasis,Rocha's passion for the game is undeniable.I LOVED this documentary!! It was a chance to just sit back for 52 minutes and relive the moments that made John "The Outlaw "Rocha my favorite competitor in the Schmoedown ,but also see the league itself turn into this juggernaut of entertainment.....In my opinion this documentary deserves All the belts and All the records just like The Outlaw....Thank you and great job to all who made it I look forward to see what's next.

A great documentary, really showing the evolution of both Rocha and the league itself. After watching it you really can't point to any other competitor who has gone trough such a journey as what the Outlaw has. Amazing to watch, and it really adds another level of respect for The Outlaw for me.

The most understatement that you’ll ever hear on the movie picture industry is that making movies are hard. Real hard. Least to say, a almost full hour documentary about a big competitor of a internet-based movie trivia show. Well, that’s something. Imagine this challenge: how to create a piece of product with all the budgetary limits, times constraints, shooting between matches and live events of a show that is constantly evolving and changing (for the better) it’s storylines and still capture the feelings, emotions and analysis of that community? How to methodically tie every single interview with all star SD personalities – which one of them who could have (and possibly will have) a documentary of their own – and still capture the rawness of a person like John Rocha? At first sight, it would seem a impossible task. Thankfully, for both Schmoedown fans and documentary fans, Eric Rodriguez (a.k.a “Nerd Chronic” as we call him) has accomplished this mission. In a way that is both surprising and powerful in it’s metanarrative. “The Outlaw and his journey that changed the Movie Trivia Schmoedown” establishes a precedent that it rolls with it until the end: let’s talk about “The Outlaw” John Rocha with the minimum amount of John Rocha – if we are looking to go fully deep into that character and his impact on this show, we need to see him through the eyes of the people around him. Let’s put the kayfabe aside, and just try to understand of how John got here. However, once begin to roll with this journey, you soon realize that we aren’t talking only about the The Outlaw character, we are talking about the show. John Rocha’s history help us understand how the Schmoedown got here. John’s history is the Schmoedown history: how has it evolved from a fun segment from SchmoesKnow to a full independent growing series that gets bigger and bigger everyday. The parallels of The Outlaw with the show itself become a no- brainer: a person who has committed to his character to extreme levels, which the lines between character and real person gets blurry every single match, that despite ups and downs still gets up and put the greatest show – this is the same journey that the Schmoedown has taken. John’s tenacity it’s the same tenacity of every people involved in it. It’s the same passion that drives each and every one of us of this fan base to this feeling of community, support and love. A love for this game, a love for its people. A love (or lovely hate!) for the The Outlaw. The most powerful aesthetically effect which this film ends is the answer for this particular question: how the hell you become so emotionally involved with this? John Rocha show us the driving force of this show. It’s the same driving force that makes you, me, every competitor, crew and fan support what could have been a “silly movie trivia game”.
