december update
Added 2024-01-02 02:05:22 +0000 UTCdecember was the first month i started taking this patreon a bit more seriously. i took a two-week holiday break in the back half of the month but now that it's the new year it's back on the grind -- expect an underside dev diary this friday as usual.
i've also started doing a little comic on my blog called PERMISSION & COMPENSATION. it's hideous colour-clashing digital collage nonsense & i might start posting some exclusive strips here on mondays alongside / as part of my writing scraps. if that sounds interesting to you, let me know!
also, here's a general update on how close underside is to its first beta release: character creation, combat, social mechanics, and the core moment-to-moment gameplay rules are all written. i'm currently finishing up the larger campaign loop rules -- once those are finished, i'll be putting out a free playtest version, here at first and then a while later on my tumblr. while (hopefully) getting playtest feedback from that, i'll work on GM advice, tables, setting and campaign creation, expanded character creation as well as art and layout -- a revised edition with all of that (and all the IP-specific references removed) will then go up on my itch for money. might do a special discount for patreons then, we'll see
