I'm happy to report that the PS Audio Sprout 100 powers these very well. I was surprised that the Cowon Plenue D also brings me to the edge of my comfort level with the Aiva.

Headphones can be both intimate and wide at the same time depending on their particular frequency response. For instance, the HD800 can have intimate vocals but the instrumentation is pushed back to give a wider soundscape. The same thing I'm assuming is going on with the vokyles. Some frequencies are pushed forward (making them seem closer to your ears), while other are pushed back (so being perceived as further away) at the same time. Think of it like dynamic range but for positioning.

FYI -- MusicTeck USA sent me email asking how I had heard of Aiva and what influenced my purchase. I replied immediately and said I saw a review on ZeosPantera (Z Review) . Maybe they'll send you more great stuff to review.

Would a PS Audio Sprout100 be sufficient to power these?

At 18:00 you said that the Erupts have "very good detal, narrow and soundstage that fades out". Narrow and wide sound stage sounds like a kind of contradiction to me. Can you please explain what you mean by that?

Im still waiting on my vokyl erupts. Was lucky enough to get into the 250 dollar teir though. Thank god. Cuz im prolly buyin these too. Haha......

I currently do not have a balanced amplifier, so that would make the price difference between the two a little smaller.
