Screentones vs. Tones

When I do grey tones in my artwork, I almost always think of them in means of creating future screentones rather then sticking to solid greys. And yes, those greys look good on physical originals (I'm just a little bit against the current trend of slathering every inch of commissions with actual physical screentones), but when I see my art in print or on scree, I need me some DOTS. n That's why I convert most of Dune stuff, and even simple commissions into these big, visible screentones. That's just my aesthetics, I guess!

But still - here are some pure greys for you to look at, along with the "bitmap" versions I personally crave.
